My order was misplaced one month ago, and the company (so far) has taken no responsibility. They have not helped me at all. No offer to send another. Refusal for a refund. At this point, this seems to me like a big scam. Avoid this company. Do not order from them.

After having some issues with getting the tent to me, I am pleased to say that it has been a wonderful investment. My son (and dogs) love it. Once you open and close it a few times, it’s nearly hassle-free and very convenient. Perfect for this stage my son is in where he has outgrown the pack-n-play, but I still want to contain him. I like that I know it is a safe environment that is comfortable for myself to also sit in.
I wanted to love California Beach Co., but the quality and service are awful. My playpen takes extreme force to open despite claims of easy setup. Their website shows outdated models without explaining changes or accessory incompatibility. I reported the issue under warranty and provided phone records, yet they refuse to help. Ownership changes shouldn’t be my problem. Very disappointing!

The playpen is beautiful and it's set up and breakdown is very easy. However the first mattress cover we received would not zip into the pen - the ends were too far away and we could not get it fully zipped. We contacted Customer Service via text and sent them photos. They promptly shipped a replacement mattress cover that zips properly, but it was a little tough going at the end, thus the 4 stars. Our little grandbaby loves being inside the pen. The cover seems to be water (spit up lol) repellant and that will work great as you don't always need to be washing it. Hope we get lots of use inside and outdoors.

I never submit reviews like these but I have yet to receive my order. This has been in limbo over a month. Since I didn’t pay the $2 for shipping insurance (because I don’t understand why companies making ridiculous profit margins can’t foot this predatory practice) I filed a claim with UPS, who in turn sent the company documentation that needed to be filled out 10 days ago and (as far as I’m aware since no one returned my customer service inquiry regarding this documentation). nothing has been done. To be fair, when I originally contacted them, they were prompt in responding to me. I DID receive the pillow that came with this order (everything shipped separately); it is fabulous. I will update my review to probably 5 stars once I receive the pop-up tent.

My pkg was lost in transit but I was still charged for the product. The California Beach Company’s customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have received no help in receiving a refund from the company. It is impossible to speak to anyone at the company. I would not recommend them to anyone!!

The shade cover is great, sunblockage wise. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the Velcro tabs to keep it in place need to be either longer to fit around the part where the shade cover hits, or the shade slightly bigger to extend down a bit more so the Velcro can go around the slimmest part of the poles. Currently it’s a bit of a struggle. This was bought as a replacement for a previously bought pen so maybe the structure has changed?

They sent the play mat several weeks after the tent itself and we finally got around to testing them out together (hot summer weather was too much with infant twins) and they literally do not go together. The zippers are entirely different styles. The irony is that the tent has big warning labels about not using mats that don't fit so your kid doesn't suffocate. And this is after it took insane amounts of time to even get the tent itself. I really hope they've gotten their act together because now I have to email to get them to send us one that actually works with the tent, as if I have tons of extra time.
